For perfume, acidity and body, it suits very much to the production of sparkling wines.
生长区域 It is present almost exclusively in France, in the Champagne region. It is also cultivated in Germany, where it is called Müllerrebe or Schwarzriesling. It is also found in Austria, Switzerland, California and Austrialia. In Italy it is part of the varietal composition for sparkling Trento DOC.
历史 It has its name (meunier = miller) that its grain-rich grains (a thin layer of wax which clings to some vegetable organisms and makes them waterproof) seem as if they were floured.
