Still red wine from Tuscany IGT, 14.5% ABV, produced by La Spinetta. Blend: 95% Sangiovese and 5% Colorino. 0.75L bottle, 2008 vintage. A wine born from the passion of the Rivetti family, who since 2001 have chosen Tuscany to express their vision of Sangiovese. Alcoholic fermentation in rotofermenters for 6-8 days at a controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation in wood. Aged in medium-toasted French oak barrels for 12-14 months. Transferred to stainless steel for 3 months before bottling. Hints of cherry, flowers, mint, and spices blend into a deep ruby red. Aromatic complexity and concentration blend elegantly with fruit and tannins, for a long finish.
