Tenimenti Angelini, owned by the family and part of the homonymous group, was born in November of 1994, with simultaneous purchase of three historic wine estates in Tuscany: Azienda Agricola Val di Suga in Montalcino, Tenuta TreRose in Montepulciano, and Fattoria San Leonino in Castellina in Chianti.
Tenimenti Angelini is one of the few wine-producers boasting its own production of the three most prestigious origin appellation from Tuscany: Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, and Chianti Classico.
However Francesco Angelini’s ties to the lands and the world of wine go much farther back in time. The story began in the Marche region, where for generations the family has owned more than 1000 hectares, 60 of which are devoted to production of Verdicchio Classico and Verdicchio Classico Superiore dei Castelli di Jesi.
Currently, the Tenimenti Angelini panorama embraces 5 wine estates, for a total of about 1600 hectares – of which 310 are planted in vines – and an overall production of about 1,500,000 bottles per year.
Alongside the three historic Tuscan wine estates of Val di Suga in Montalcino, TreRose in Montepulciano, and San Leonino in Castellina in Chianti, Tenimenti Angelini now also manages Tenuta Collepaglia in the Castelli di Jesi area, where significant investments, starting with the soon-to-be-built new wine cellar, are planned.
In March 2010, the company took a decisive step with purchase of the Puiatti wine estate in the Friuli region, a true jewel of Collio and Isonzo wine production. A unique vine-growing and wine-making area and a family which have been leading players on the international enological scene since 1967. More than forty years devoted to wine, with a single philosophy centering on the challenging quest for harmony among the territory, the climate, the fruits of the vine, and human intervention, with a single goal: achieving excellence.
