Story The Riesling Italico vine is one of the most widespread varieties in Oltrepò Pavese, which has the largest Italian vineyard area with 1,500 hectares of vineyards. Its origin is still uncertain; it could be descended from the Animea Gemella, a vine used by the Romans, or it could come from France or some central European country and from here it would have spread to the Veneto, under Austro-Hungarian rule.

Soil composition Clayey, slimy with arenaceous limestone and gyspum.
Cultivation system Espalier and Guyot.
Harvest By hand in crates.
Wine making Grape pressing and destemming, cold maceration to extract aromas, soft pressing with pneumatic press and fermentation with cultured yeasts at 16 °C controlled temperature.
