描述
A sweet passito from Tuscany, produced by Fontodi, 11% ABV, 2014 vintage. A Vin Santo del Chianti Classico that tells the story of a region and a family, made with Malvasia and Sangiovese grapes. The grapes are harvested and left to dry for five months. After pressing, the must is placed in sealed 50- and 110-liter chestnut and French oak barrels, where it ages for approximately nine years. The aroma is ethereal and distinctive, reminiscent of raisins and honey. A wine that pairs perfectly with cantuccini di Prato, dry pastries, and desserts, ideal for a perfect end to a meal.

Fontodi has belonged to the Manetti family since 1968, which for centuries has been dedicated to another typically Chianti activity: the production of the famous terracotta. Precisely in the name of this strong bond with the land and with a great passion for quality, the company has successfully turned towards increasingly careful cultivation of the vineyards and a deeper knowledge of the potential of Sangiovese in the Panzano area.
Fontodi is a certified organic farm and covers 170 hectares, of which more than 80 are planted with vines. The principles of naturalness and sustainability inspire the agriculture that is practised: not only are no synthetic chemical products used, but an attempt is made to make the most of the company's internal resources by reducing external inputs. For example, the vineyards are fertilised using compost produced by combining pruning residues and manure from the farm's own Chianina breeding. Respecting the environment produces better, cleaner wines with a better expression of the terroir. 閱讀更多
