Dalla fine 2013 il Bolgheri Sassicaia è per ora l'unico vino italiano di una specifica cantina, Tenuta San Guido, che, come succede in Francia per altri pochissimi vini famosissimi, ha una DOC riservata appositamente.

| 土地的組成 | Sedimenti argillosi pleistocenici, con presenza di sassi, da qui il nome "Sassicaia", molto calcarei con presenza anche di ossido di ferro. |
| 歷史 | Il Sassicaia cosi' come lo conosciamo oggi è stato impiantato nel 1944 su intuizione del Marchese Mario Incisa della Rochetta che volle piantare uve di taglio bordolesi in queste zone, che trovò morfologicamente molto simili ai terreni di Graves a Bordeaux. La prima annata commercializzata fu il 1968. La sua consacrazione si ebbe nel 1978 quando la rivista "Decanter" lo elesse, il "Sassicaia", come miglior cabernet del mondo. |
