描述

Still red wine from Salice Salentino DOC, 13.5% ABV, produced by Terre Cevico. Blend: 90% Negro Amaro, 10% Malvasia Nera. 0.75 L bottle, 2021 vintage. A wine that expresses the passion and tradition of Puglia, with a blend that enhances the characteristics of the native grape varieties. The Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes are carefully selected from low-yielding vineyards in the province of Brindisi, in southern Puglia. The training system is Guyot, “Alberello Pugliese”. The harvest is manual in late September. After destemming, the grapes are not pressed, allowing them to remain intact, reducing skin damage and optimizing color extraction. The two grape varieties are fermented together in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 23-25°C for 8-10 days. Frequent pumping over and delestage are performed during fermentation to ensure a smooth extraction of the aromas and delicate tannins. After racking, malolactic fermentation is induced. Aged in second- and third-use 500-liter tonneaux barrels and aged for 12 months. Intense and elegant earthy aromas of blackcurrant, candied fruit, white pepper, and spices. Deep purple-red color. On the palate, it is full-bodied, velvety, and rich, with complex yet soft tannins and a long, lingering finish.

Terre Cevico was founded, as a cooperative, in 1963, producing wine from grapes grown by its members throughout Romagna.

In the 1960s and ’70s Terre Cevico began trading its wine, exclusively in bulk. A step forward, in the ’80s and ’90s, was that of selling in standard and larger-size bottles. Since 2000, in line with feedback from the market, Terre Cevico has started to produce and package wines in cartons and bottles for the HORECA channel.

Today Terre Cevico is a Group that operates principally in Emilia Romagna, but also with its own wineries in Veneto and Puglia. Terre Cevico’s wines are present in 69 countries around the world, especially in, Japan, Russia, Sweden, United States, Great Britain and Vietnam, with a consolidated group turnover of 196,7 million Euros.
