Imanol Garay is a new winemaker to follow closely. In a short time, he showed talent and creativity unsuspected for someone who does not come from the traditional world of wine.
Graduated in Industrial Chemical Engineering at the University of Pau, he worked between 2007 and 2016 as a commercial technician at the French Adour Cooperage for France and Switzerland, where he acquired the decisive experience in the construction of his own tastes, the result of his numerous meetings with open and sensitive producers as well as his knowledge of winemaking and ageing.
In 2007 he planted a small vineyard of Cabernet Franc in his residence in Orthez and, in 2012, he produced his first wine "Abiatu" in collaboration with a friend, in the Madiran denomination (southwest of France). In 2013 he created for the first time "Ixilune" a magnificent dry white Jurançon with Petit Corbou and Petit Mansen. Both wines are available in their second vintage 2015 in El Sumiller. 閱讀更多
