Domaine Pignier
The French Revolution forced the monks into exile. Their cellar and vineyards were sold to our family as national property in 1794.
Today’s 37-acre vineyard still covers the slopes of Montaigu in the Côtes du Jura appellation area. In keeping with our estate’s philosophy, the vineyard is cultivated biodynamically and the wines age in oak barrels in the 700-year-old cellar. We, Marie Florence, Antoine and Jean Etienne Pignier are today perpetuating our family tradition. We aim to develop our estate by producing first-rate wines, and everything we do is governed by this quality principle.
