Champagne Grand Cru Virdunacus Millesime Extra Brut, extra brut classic method, 12.5% ABV, produced by Jean Claude Mouzon, 2015 vintage. Blend: 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay. Bottle: 0.75 L. A Champagne born from the passion of Frédérique and Cédric Lahémade, who, using two white and black grape varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, create environmentally friendly champagnes worthy of their Great Growth Champagne appellation. Floral and fruity aromas on the nose, accompanied by mineral notes. Intense straw yellow. On the palate, the wine is balanced, fresh, and has a long finish.

Champagne Jean-Claude MOUZON is, before all, guided by a duo, that of Frédérique and Cédric Lahémade. As a judo fan, Cédric met Frédérique at the dojo; she was also keen on this martial art. Rivals on the tatami, Frédérique and Cédric fall in love, turning a hand-to-hand fight into a heart-to-heart relationship. By uniting, their wish to work surrounded by Nature becomes real. They gradually join Jean-Claude on the estate and become the current happy makers of Jean-Claude Mouzon champagnes. Since then, they have moved forward little by little, together in life and in the vines too.
The name of the village of Champagne Jean-Claude MOUZON, Verzenay, means « to the North ». This Great Growth village of the Champagne area, perched on the Montagne de Reims, looks down the Vallée de la Vesle. The Mount Sinaï, rising to 277 m of altitude, protects the houses of the village and its vines by confining hot air.
Inheriting and running a terroir classified Great Growth implies a daily interest in its quality and turning it into champagnes. 43 small plots in Verzenay, Verzy, Beaumont-sur-Vesle and Mailly-Champagne make up the vineyard of Champagne Jean-Claude MOUZON. Their surface enables them to do everything by themselves: luxury craftsmanship! Cédric and Frédérique observe their Great Growth grapes.
