Organic still red from Valdarno di Sopra, Tuscany, 14% ABV, produced by Il Borro. 100% Sangiovese, 2020 vintage. A wine born from a passion for the land and a desire to showcase Sangiovese, aged in amphorae to bring out its full potential. Aged 11 months on the skins in amphorae, 12 months in bottle. Complex on the nose, with notes of ripe red fruit and aromas deriving from the amphora aging. Ruby red in color. The flavor is bold with balanced tannins and good acidity.

In 1993 Ferruccio Ferragamo became the owner of Il Borro Estate where, in previous years, he had hunted and vacationed with his family and friends. From that time on major work was undertaken in the medieval hamlet which was completely restored for the purpose of enhancing the history, traditions and natural surroundings, special attention was paid to the vineyards.

Today, the entire Estate is managed by two of his six children: Salvatore, CEO and Vittoria who is responsible for Il Borro’s Garden and special projects.
