In 1967, 17 Tuscan winegrowers joined together in the association 'Agricoltori del Chianti Geografico' near Gaiole in Chianti, with the aim of defending and enhancing the reputation of the area and its fruits, a tradition proudly handed down to the present day. La Pevera, a term that indicates the ancient wooden funnel used to pour the wine into oak barrels, underlines the style of the estate, which enhances the elegance, freshness and complexity of the aromatic profile.

Very elegant nose with an exuberant character, hints of ripe blackberries and figs, blueberries and sweet elderberries in the background. Vanilla, slight hint of gingerbread, dark chocolate and fine oak.

Well structured on the palate, with ripe but firm tannins and good acidity giving freshness. Complex aroma combining balsamic spices with black fruits and light hints of dried fruit, elegant but persistent finish with convincing length and consistency of flavour, slight hints of dark chocolate and delicate spices linger in the aftertaste.

During the extraordinary history of Chianti there are some protagonists who more than others have had the merit and the responsibility of making this wine legendary, also through a sincere enhancement of its production area, unique for a great variety of aspects.

Today, saying Chianti in the world means evoking much more than a wine. This was also made possible thanks to seventeen far-sighted winemakers - "Those of Geografico" - who already in 1961 understood the importance of the extraordinary bond between a wine and its production area.

From here, more than half a century ago, the story of the Geografico started and today continues its journey thanks to the passion for the territory of Piccini family, who bought it to continue its memory.

From those seventeen initial winemakers, today we can count even sixty. All mainly rooted in the territories of Chianti and Chianti Classico, but also of Vernaccia di San Gimignano. 酿酒工艺 The selected grapes are harvested and vinified separately in stainless steel tanks. The maceration and vinification process ensures a delicate extraction of silky tannins and complex aromas. The resulting wine is then blended and stored in traditional cement vats, where malolactic fermentation begins before ageing in French tonneaux.
