Oban
In the heart of the small town of Oban, on the west coast of Scotland, stands the homonymous distillery, whose name has become legendary thanks to the production of Single Malts appreciated all over the world. It is a small urban distillery, one of the last survivors, founded in 1794 in what was then a small fishing village, then developed thanks to the success of the distillery. Oban's Single Malt Whiskey features a unique and unmistakable style known as the "West Highland flavor", which represents a perfect balance between the highly smoked and phenolic style of whiskey produced in the islands and the lighter and sweetest of the Highlands. In the small Oban Distillery we only use two traditional 'pot still' almonds and oak barrels for aging, including barrels containing sherry Montilla Fino. The production of Oban Distillery is limited in quantity but surprising and exciting in quality: 670,000 liters per year, of which only 20% is bottled as Single Malt. The distillery tip of the distillery is the Single Malt 14 years old, becoming part of the 6 most representative "Classic Malts of Scotland". The "Distiller's Edition" is a precious gift for enthusiasts: a splendid Scotch with final refinement in sherry barrels. Fruity, spicy and medium-bodied, the Whiskey of the Oban Distillery is the pride of a small coastal town, a blessing for all whiskey lovers.
