Young, fruity and slightly herbaceous, with a harmonious bouquet ranging from berries, especially blueberries and blackcurrants, to violets, plums, cherries, tomato leaf, fennel and rhubarb. There are also some medicinal herbs such as mint and thyme, and a distant balsamic note that fades into pine. The clearly recognisable feature is an underlying herbaceous note that permeates the whole wine and blends wonderfully with the warmth of the fruit.

Quite intense ruby red.

The palate is broad and deep, medium-bodied, juicy and dripping with blackberries and cherries. The tannins are light and velvety and the herbaceous, earthy flavours balance the fruit for a soft, enveloping sip. The acidity tends to be low.
