描述

The Vintage is the choice of an exceptional year, from which the Grands Crus of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are selected to enter the blend of a future Grand Siècle iteration. This is a rare and exceptional wine that expresses the character of the vintage in the Laurent-Perrier style. The 2008 vintage was characterised by a cold but not harsh Winter and a dull, rainy Spring. The harvest began in mid-September with cool, dry weather, thus preserving the best growing conditions for the vines with perfect grapes and excellent Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This high quality of grapes revealed an incredible aromatic richness... an exceptional vintage!

In 1881, when master cellarer Eugène Laurent inherited the Champagne Maison Alphonse Pierlot, he provided it with the essential foundations for the production of great champagnes, namely the houses and land to create a real estate. He bought vineyards in the best terroirs of Bouzy, Tours-sur-Marne and Ambonnay, dug 800 metres of cellars and created a tasting workshop.

This is how Domaine Laurent-Perrier was anchored in Tours-sur-Marne. This picturesque village is ideally situated at the crossroads of the three main wine-growing areas of the Marne département: the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs.
