描述
Still red Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, 14.5% ABV, produced by Castello di Monsanto. Blend: 95% Sangiovese, Canaiolo Nero, Colorino. 2020 vintage, 0.75L bottle. A Chianti Classico Gran Selezione that represents the excellence of Tuscany, produced with select grapes and meticulous vinification. In temperature-controlled, truncated-cone steel vats with a delestage system and pumping over for approximately 20-22 days. Aged in 500-liter French oak barrels, some new and some used, for 18-20 months. The nose is enticing with notes of hibiscus and red currant, smoke, a subtle hint of sweet spices, thyme, bay leaf, rose hips, and violets. It leans toward garnet with a nuanced finish. On the palate, it has vibrant tannins, fresh acidity, and a long finish with a pleasant sensation of bitter almond.

Wine in Tuscany was not yet ready for a revolution. Audacity, determination, and foresight were key to pursuing ideas that might have seemed obscure at the time, but later played a large part in the history of Chianti Classico. Today Laura, Fabrizio's daughter, continues what her father, thanks to her grandfather Aldo, started, by transforming longstanding tradition with pride and tenacity. Because the future passes right through here: from what was built yesterday for a better tomorrow. 阅读更多
