Toscana IGT, 14.5% ABV, produced by Castello di Fonterutoli (Mazzei) in Tuscany, 2022 vintage. A still red that expresses the excellence of the Tuscan terroir, with a blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Sangiovese. For over six hundred years, the Mazzei family has been producing unique wines with spirit and passion that are renewed from generation to generation. Fonterutoli embodies the same philosophy, which focuses on enhancing native grape varieties as an expression of a territory's identity. A sea of wild fruit, juniper, rosewood, sandalwood, blond tobacco, and even hints of noble vegetal and leather unfold seamlessly. Deep ruby red, it is intense and fiery on the palate, full of perfectly modulated tannins and a perfectly balanced and long finish.

At Fonterutoli, as well as at Belguardo and Zisola, resides the same philosophy that aims to promote local vine varieties as an expression of the identity of the region, in respect of diversity and nature, via sustainable agriculture and improvements mindfull of the delicate hydro-geologic balance, in order to prevent soil erosion and maximize water reserves in the region. All of this in order to be able to hand the land intact to future generations.
