A still red from Tuscany, a Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, produced by Castello Banfi, 2010 vintage. A highly prestigious wine, an expression of pure Sangiovese. 1.50-liter magnum. The bouquet is rich, with hints of cherry and blackberry that blend beautifully with notes of tobacco and licorice. Ruby red in color. The structure is soft and enveloping, well-balanced by just the right amount of acidity. The finish is long and mellow. A wine that tells the story of a region and a winery that have shaped the history of Italian wine.
