The principle activity Agricola Conte Umberto Emo Capodilista "La Montecchia" is viticulture, already begun in the Middle Ages. Petrarch himself appreciated the local vintage, much to his home at Arquà at the southern part of the Hills euganei. The current owner, Count Umberto Emo Capodilista, began to renovate the vineyards and wineries in the early 90s, making his son Giordano Emo to direct the whole company assisted Andrea Boaretti oenologist and agronomist Patrizio Gasparinetti.

The numerous awards and recognition from the most notable wine critics like Robert Parker, Luca Maroni, Gambero Rosso and Veronelli have encouraged Giordano Emo to continue along this path. About half of the production is exported abroad.

Story The name Fior d’Arancio comes from a gentle hint of citrus fruits, the hallmark of this yellow Moscato, which is typical of the volcanic soil in the Euganean Hills.
Origin Selvazzano Dentro (PD)
Soil composition Medium texture with trachyte outcrop.
Plants per hectare 4800
Production technique Selected grapes are collected by hand and cooled at 0.5°C. Grapes are then softly pressed so that the fruity aroma is enhanced at best. The must is then conveyed to the sparkling unit.
Wine making Martinotti's method (Charmat) The must starts to ferment at 10°C until the desired pressure is reached. The must is left to stand for 15 days at -2°C.
