The historic Segura Viudas winery has its roots in 10 centuries of history and stands in the area of Penedés, home of Cava, the Catalan classic method sparkling wine. Until the 13th century, this typical Catalan rural house, called "Masia", was used as a military construction, then converted to agriculture and viticulture.
In 1950 the property concentrated on the cultivation of native vines and particularly important for Spain, producing since then excellent Cava, still awarded by international critics.
