| 故事 | The DOC ORVIETO was recognized in 1971 and in the last forty years has seen incredible growth both quantitative and qualitative: Orvieto is one of the best known Italian white wines in the world and represents alone about three quarters of production of wine DOC Umbria. The DOC area is divided into Orvieto Classico, which represents the area around the rock of tuff on which lies the town of Orvieto and the surrounding area, and Orvieto, which completes the north and south. The geological components of the territory - of volcanic origin - together with the favorable and unique microclimate that distinguishes the valleys of Paglia and lower Tiber, are the basis of oenological fortune which from time immemorial are at one with the city. Not by chance, in fact, Orvieto is one of the few cities in the world whose name coincides with that of its territory wine. |
