Founded in 1865 by Francesco Tornatore’s great-grandfather, the winery has carried on a winemaking tradition rooted in the fertile lands of Etna for more than 150 years. In 1910 grandfather Giuseppe consolidated the family business by building a palmento in contrada Piano Fiera, marking the beginning of an expansion that would encompass other valuable land on Etna’s northern slope. Our deep knowledge of the land, enriched by decades of experience and passed from generation to generation, allows us today to look to the future with the certainty of those who have always known how to respect the land and its traditions, continuing our commitment to excellence and innovation in the world of wine. 阅读更多

Cultivation system Cordon trained.
Yield per hectare 6,000kg/h.
Harvest 2nd 10 days of October. The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates and quickly brought to the winery where they are manually selected on a conveyor- belt
Wine making Destemmed and slightly crushed, they are sent to the vertical press where they are gently pressed. The must is clarified at low temperatures, and left to ferment at 15/16 °C in wooden barrels of 50 hectoliters before being bottled. After the fermentation the wine obtained rests on the lees for 5 months.
Aging About 5 months in wooden barrels and then 3 months bottle.
