Avvoltore is the company’s flagship wine. The grapes are collected from vineyards planted on the “Poggio dell’Avvoltore” hill. Its clay-limestone soil produces a strong and powerful tannic structure. The first vintage was in 1988, the blend has changed very little since then and, in recent years, has always featured these grapes: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The name describes the Maremma Falcon, a bird of prey that often flies over these vineyards.

Three hundred years ago the Moris Family left Spain and settled in the Tuscan Maremma. 陈酿	It stays in the wood for about a year and is racked during this period. The wine remains in the bottle for six months before being marketed.
