Extra Brut Classic Method Champagne, produced by Egly-Ouriet in the Champagne region, 2016 vintage. A Grand Cru that expresses the excellence of Champagne, with 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. Aged for 96 months on the lees. Complex aromas of flowers, yellow and white fruit (peach and pear) and sweet spices (vanilla), with hints of honey and green tea. Intense and brilliant golden yellow. On the palate, it develops without hesitation, displaying full body and great freshness. A grand chalky finish with a light black peppery tang. Harmony and great energy.

A Champagne that represents its terroir: the vine and soil are found throughout this wine, thanks to old vines, a few winemaker's secrets and modern technology. Egly-Ouriet produces champagne only with grapes from its 11.5 hectares company's vineyards, the most important of which are in Ambonnay, the home of Pinot Noir, the others in Bouzy, Verzenay and Vrigny. Quality begins on this particular soil, made up of layers of chalk that reflect the sun's rays and release heat to the vines at night, allowing excess water to be absorbed and giving the grapes a particularly mineral taste. 閱讀更多
