Founded in 1908 Champagne Claude Beaufort is a Maison with a long tradition and history spanning four generations of passionate winegrowers. Today at the helm of the company is Arnaud Beaufort, son of Claude, who gives the Maison its name and who has been the guardian of the family's winemaking tradition.
Located on the Côte des Grands Noirs de la Montagne de Reims, the vineyards extend over an area of 5 hectares in the Ambonnay region, 83% of which is cultivated with Pinot Noir and 17% with Chardonnay. In the cradle of Champagne, the hills benefit from a south and south-east exposure, enjoying advantageous geological and pedological conditions and an ideal microclimate.Ambonnay has been classified, since 1895, as a Village Grands Crus of Champagne along with 320 other producing villages in the region. With an average altitude of 130 metres, most of the vineyards are spared from spring frosts and the soil on the slopes is covered by a thin layer of clay-limestone soil.
Champagne Claude Beaufort practises an oenological culture marked by respect for biodiversity, working the soils and grassing over the plots with the aim of guaranteeing quality production that respects the environment.
