The company was founded in Dublin in 1974 by David Dand, who took note of the changing times to create an innovative liqueur that was completely different to what the market was offering at the time. Together with a group of like-minded technicians, David came up with a completely new recipe that included whiskey and a rich milk cream. Following his spirit of tradition, the first version was made with a normal kitchen mixer, but it turned out to be delicious on the first try!
