Desde 1781, procedentes de Fornet, un pueblecito del Valgrisenche, hoy sepultado por las aguas de la presa de Beauregard, los abuelos maternos venían aquí a aprovisionarse de vino y castañas para pasar los largos inviernos de montaña; fue entonces, en 1969, espoleado por su amigo Pino Albaney, cuando Papa Dauphin empezó a embotellar su propio vino para presentarlo en la "II exposition des vins du Val d'Aoste"; fue esta feria la que estimuló la iniciativa que llevó a la empresa de 3.la empresa está situada en el límite de los municipios de Quart y Saint Christophe, donde se encuentran los viñedos de Tzeriat, Rovetta, Creton, Touren en Quart, Tzantè de Bagnère, Merletta y Castello di Pleod en Saint Christophe. Las cepas cultivadas inicialmente, además de la tradicional Petit Rouge, eran Gamay, Pinot Noir y Petite Arvine, mientras que ahora también se cultivan cepas autóctonas como Fumin, Cornalin, Prëmetta y Vuillermin. Las técnicas de cultivo están profundamente ligadas al respeto del medio ambiente, por lo que desde 1975 no se realizan tratamientos insecticidas ni acaricidas, y la fertilización se realiza estrictamente con abonos de origen orgánico.
