Descripción

Our Barolo Monforte is obtained from two important Crus with opposite characteristics. Mosconi is in fact a vineyard that brings volume and depth, thanks to its soil and warmer exposure, while Castelletto gives the blend a more tense and linear character, and more aromatic notes thanks to its cooler exposure.

Sabor

Dry flowers and leaves, then rose and geranium in the background. The fruit is dark, sometimes jammy with brulè notes. The finish is classic, of great austerity and elegance, with notes of tobacco leaves and dried and dried red fruit. Surprisingly smooth tannin. Pleasant presence of ripe plum and cinnamon.

The Poderi Gianni Gagliardo winery was born from a tradition of winemakers present in Piedmont since 1847. Generation after generation, the Colla family moved from the Santo Stefano Belbo area, home of Moscato, to the area of great red wines.

In 1961, Paolo Colla moved to La Morra, realising his lifelong dream of producing Barolo. In 1972, Gianni Gagliardo married Paolo's only daughter and soon began working with him.

The bottling of the estate's wines went from amateur to professional in 1974, and since then it has been a continuous evolution. In the 2000s, the new generation gradually came into play. Today, Stefano, Alberto and Paolo work alongside their father in the management and development of the company's projects. Leer más
