De esta bodega
Gary y Kathy Jordan elaboran vinos de primera clase desde 1993 en una finca con más de 300 años de historia. Él es geólogo y ella economista. Los padres de Gary, Ted y Sheelagh, compraron la propiedad de Stellenbosch, ahora de 164 hectáreas, en 1982 y emprendieron un amplio programa de replantación, especializándose en variedades clásicas adaptadas a diferentes suelos y pendientes.

| Climate | Altitude: 250 - 280 m. a.s.l. Exposure: East. Stellenbosch Kloof enjoys a cooler Mediterranean climate with maritime influences from False Bay, 14km to the south, and a refreshing breeze channelled from the West Coast’s Benguela current 24km to the north-west. These two breezes culminate at the top end of the ravine and bring in early morning mists, especially from False Bay. Consequently, temperatures in our meso-climate can be measured at least 3° Celsius cooler than inland Stellenbosch during ripening periods. This adds a unique characteristic to Jordan wines. |
