Descripción

What kind of wine it is

The Champagne Grand Cru by R.H. Coutier is a pure expression of its terroir. It is born from a harmonious blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, crafted according to the strict rules of the Traditional Method. On the nose, it releases aromas of yellow fruits and delicate toasted nuances, while on the palate it offers a bold and balanced sip, characterised by a persistent mineral finish. It is an ideal wine to accompany shellfish, sushi, fried fish and cheeses.

Where it comes from

This wine originates in Ambonnay, a renowned commune of the Montagne de Reims. The R.H. Coutier winery manages its own vineyards following minimal intervention principles, in full respect of the natural balance. The vines, cultivated on different plots, have an average age of around forty years and ensure remarkable aromatic concentration. This careful work in the vineyard, combined with the peculiarities of the soil, gives the sip a strongly territorial profile, capable of expressing both energy and precision.

How it is produced

The sparkling process takes place through the Traditional Method, which ensures a fine and well-defined bead. The wine matures on the lees for a minimum of seven years, thus acquiring harmony and a pleasant sensation of fullness. The Extra Brut dosage allows the sensory profile to remain dry, fresh and taut. This rigorous production process refines the structure of the cuvée and guarantees great longevity, allowing the wine to maintain its organoleptic qualities intact for over a decade.

History and Curiosities

The exceptional Champagne R.H. Coutier is produced in Ambonnay, the renowned Grand Cru of the Montagne de Reims, within a family estate that has been cultivating vineyards for almost forty years. Made exclusively in the best vintages, this vintage Extra Brut is aged in the cellar for at least seven years, making it a true rarity. The estate’s philosophy, based on minimal intervention and currently undergoing organic conversion, enhances the noble union between Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Awarded 89 points by Vinous, this wine offers a fresh and mineral finish.
