Description
Still red from Saint-Emilion, Bordeaux, 14.5% ABV, produced by Chateau Pavie. Blend: 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018 vintage. A Grand Cru that embodies Bordeaux excellence, with grapes grown on a limestone plateau composed of clay-limestone soil on a star-shaped limestone subsoil. Fermentation on the skins for 3 weeks in wooden vats at a controlled temperature of 20°C. Malolactic fermentation in barrels and aging, depending on the vintage, in 70% to 100% new oak, for 18-32 months. A wine that expresses the complexity and elegance of the Bordeaux terroir.
Awards
The central area plays with space and natural light. Like the vines, the large glass façade captures the sun's rays, offering a magnificent view of the hillside vineyard. This is "the most beautiful spot in Saint-Emilion", according to some.
