Description
What kind of wine it is
The Champagne Bérèche Grand Cru Campania Remensis Rosé Extra Brut is a wine of great precision, produced according to the principles of the Traditional Method. On the nose, it reveals refined aromas of raspberry, peach and orange zest, while on the palate it is lively and expressive, characterised by the dry and linear profile typical of the Extra Brut dosage. A distinct chalky texture perfectly balances the fruity core, leading to a bright and highly complex finish, ideal for accompanying structured dishes.
Where it comes from
This rosé originates between the Montagne de Reims and the Marne Valley, in the heart of the Champagne region. The forty-year-old vines grow on fine silt and deep sand soils, which give the sip a clear and vibrant tension. Produced by Bérèche, a winery active since 1847, this wine is made in limited volumes to preserve the authenticity of the terroir, a commitment to quality also recognised by the 92 points awarded by Vinous critics.
How it is produced
The vinification involves a slow fermentation in barrels, a technical choice that ensures a solid structure and perfect aromatic integration. As required by the Traditional Method, after the prise de mousse the wine continues with delicate ageing on the lees. The thirty-six months spent in the cellar enrich the wine with dynamism and volume, maintaining an elegant style that enhances every fruity note.
History and Curiosities
Born from a family tradition dating back to 1847, the Campania Remensis 2021 by Bérèche is an exclusive Extra Brut Rosé Champagne produced in only 5,356 bottles. The forty-year-old vines, rooted in soils composed of silt and deep sand, enhance all the prestige of the terroir. Thanks to a slow fermentation in barrique and a 36-month period on the lees, the wine releases lively aromas of raspberry and peach. On the palate, it stands out for a chalky texture that makes each sip bright, captivating and complex, awarded 92 points by Vinous.

Every action has been adequately thought out. Of course our land is plowed and we also use weed control to limit disease. This vegetation cover avoids herbicides, insecticides and anti-rots. Everything begins with the soil. The fertilization is organic. We feed wildlife which in turn feeds flora and thus the soil is working. As a result the House Bérêche has one of the lowest treatment frequency index in the Champagne region. It is also among the first to be certified High Environmental Quality (level 3). Read more
