At xtraWine, every order is prepared with great care to ensure that wines and other products are shipped safely and arrive in the best possible condition. This Shipping Policy explains how xtraWine manages packaging, couriers, shipping costs, insurance, scheduled deliveries, duties, taxes, customs charges and delivery issues.
1. Packaging
· xtraWine uses secure, patented packaging designed specifically for wine shipments.
· The packaging is robust, protective and isothermal, helping to reduce the impact of temperature changes during transport.
· For wine shipments, xtraWine uses PERBACCO Winebox® patented packaging, designed to protect bottles during delivery.
· All packaging is 100% recyclable.
· Packaging is not collected after delivery. Customers are encouraged to recycle or reuse it responsibly.
2. Couriers
· xtraWine works with leading national and international couriers to deliver orders safely and efficiently.
· Shipments may be handled by couriers such as UPS, TNT, JAS and FedEx.
· The courier used may vary depending on the destination country, shipping service, logistics requirements and courier availability.
3. Insured Shipments
· All xtraWine shipments are covered by insurance.
· This insurance protects the customer in the event of breakage, loss or damage during transport.
· If a shipment is damaged or lost during delivery, xtraWine will manage the case according to its customer care, return, refund and damaged shipment procedures.
4. Original Boxes and Gift Packaging
· For safety and transport reasons, bottles are usually shipped without their original box or original packaging, except in rare cases.
· This allows xtraWine to prepare the products using packaging that is more suitable and safer for transport.
· If original packaging is included with a specific product, this may depend on product availability, packaging type and transport safety.
5. Shipping Costs
· Shipping costs are calculated automatically according to the delivery destination.
· The exact shipping cost is displayed in the cart and during checkout before the order is confirmed.
· Shipping costs may vary depending on destination country, delivery area, order size and weight, selected shipping method, courier availability and logistics conditions.
· The customer can review the total cost of the order, including shipping, before completing the purchase.
6. Scheduled Shipments
· Future-date shipments and long-term scheduled shipping requests are currently temporarily unavailable.
· Orders are processed according to xtraWine’s standard logistics and shipping procedures.
7. Duties, Taxes, Excise Duties and Other Charges
· Duties, taxes, excise duties and other charges are included in the taxable amount for shipments to European Union countries, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
· Outside the European internal market, duties, taxes, excise duties and other local charges may not be included in the taxable amount and may be requested according to the rules of the destination country.
· For Ireland only, shipping costs do not include import customs fees, if required.
· The checkout remains the reference point for the final order amount and any shipping-related information available before purchase confirmation.
8. International Shipments
· xtraWine ships to many countries worldwide.
· Available destinations may vary depending on local laws, courier services, customs rules and restrictions related to alcoholic products.
· Customers are responsible for ensuring that the products they order can be legally imported into their destination country.
9. Delivery Issues
· If a customer notices a problem with the shipment, such as visible damage to the package, leakage, missing parcels, tracking anomalies or delivery issues, they should contact xtraWine Customer Care as soon as possible.
· Customers should include the order number, delivery address, a clear description of the issue, photos of the package or damaged products if available, and any information provided by the courier.
