Caparzo Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2017
Caparzo's Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is produced exclusively in the best vintages from grapes personally selected by oenologist Massimo Bracalente. The grapes come from vineyards located in the northern area of Montalcino at an altitude of 220 metres above sea level and partly from vineyards located south of Montalcino at 270 metres above sea level. In both cases, the vineyards are on soils of Pliocene formation with a sandy-stony matrix and are exposed towards the south and southeast. The Riserva reaches its best expression a few years after bottling. Produced in a limited number of bottles, the Riserva is destined for an exceptionally knowledgeable and attentive public. A classic and complete Riserva capable of awakening unique sensations in the most expert palates. The first vintage of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva Caparzo is dated 1980. The wine is characterised by longevity that can reach up to 40 years.
