Tenute Perda Rubia

Tenute Perdarubia (Perdarubia Wine Estates) was founded in 1949 by Mario Mereu, who in that year inaugurated his own winery, the first to bottle in the province of Nuoro. Ever since then, everything was focused on Cannonau, from which Perda Rubia wine is created. In just a few years, the winery contributed in spreading and making this grape variety known internationally. The founder’s work was continued by Renato Mereu, who planted their first own vineyards in 1971. Since the early 1980s the company has been processing only its own grapes. In 2014, the winery passed to the third generation, and has embarked on a major renovation and revitalization.
