Agricoltori del Chianti Geografico

Today, saying Chianti means evoking much more than just wine. This has also been possible thanks to 17 far-sighted winegrowers who established the Geografico winery in 1961. They understood the importance of the extraordinary relationship between a wine and its production area.

It was here more than half a century ago that the story of Geografico was born. Today, it continues its journey thanks to the passion for the terroir of the Piccini family, who bought it to carry on its memory. From those initial 17 vine growers, today, the company can count 80 members, all mainly rooted in the regions of Chianti and Chianti Classico but also Vernaccia di San Gimignano. 80 passionate winegrowers who work every day to enhance a great appellation and its wines, starting with its main grape variety: the Sangiovese.
