Description
The type of oil
Zenato Valpolicella Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a superior category oil with a Protected Geographical Indication that expresses the authentic essence of the Veneto region. Produced using 55% Grignano olives and complemented by local varieties such as Leccino, Frantoio, Pendolino, Leccio del Corno, and Maurino, it is distinguished by a delicately fruity profile. The yellow colour with faint green highlights precedes a balanced taste, characterised by a pleasant bitter note and a typical musky aftertaste.
How it is produced
Production is based exclusively on cold extraction using mechanical processes, an essential technique to keep the original organoleptic properties intact. This process allows a superior category oil to be obtained, preserving its fruity scents and natural vivacity on the palate. The rigour adopted during extraction ensures maximum purity, resulting in a clean and linear condiment capable of enhancing every dish thanks to its balanced structure.

1960 – San Benedetto di Lugana. It’s here that the heart of Sergio Zenato started to beat. His story is made of passion and hard work; a deep connection to his land and his people; entrepreneurial ability and openness to innovation and new vinification techniques and investment in native grape varieties.
A story that stretches from the banks of Lake Garda to the hills of nearby Valpolicella where the estate’s reds are born from sunny vineyards of Corvina and Rondinella in Costalunga in Sant’Ambrogio commune. Read more
