Description
Still red Irpinia Campi Taurasini Costa Baiano, 13.5% ABV, produced by Villa Raiano. 100% Aglianico, 2019 vintage. A wine born from a passion for Aglianico, grown at 500 meters above sea level on clay-limestone soils. The winery, built in 2009, is surrounded by vineyards and chestnut groves. Fermentation in stainless steel with daily punching down and pumping over, and 10-day maceration on the skins. Aged in concrete vats and terracotta amphorae. On the nose, blackberries and blueberries give way to a rich dusting of pepper and mace with earthy notes in the background. Dark ruby color. On the palate, it is striking for its softness, enhanced by the silky tannins and well-distilled savory character.

The current cellar, built in 2009 on top of a hill in San Michele di Serino (AV), is the core of our company. A modern structure, perfectly integrated into the immediate environment, surrounded by vineyards and chestnut woods. From the panoramic terrace, with a view, you can follow the entire Sabato River valley, from its source, at the foot of Monte Terminio, to the point where it leaves the province of Avellino in Altavilla Irpina.
