Description
What kind of wine is it
Tresche Sauvignon Bianco by Villa Papiano is a still biodynamic white wine from Emilia-Romagna, made from Sauvignon grapes. A clear expression of the Rubicone region, it stands out for its fresh and elegant style, combining precise drinkability with a well-defined structure. The aromatic profile offers refined mineral notes and delicate hints of wild herbs, delivering a linear and very clean sip. Ideal paired with fish dishes, sushi or soft cheeses, it best expresses its lively character when served chilled.
Where does it come from
The vineyards are located in Modigliana, nestled on the slopes of Monte Chioda at an altitude between 450 and 480 metres above sea level. The privileged exposure along a slope descending towards the valley floor ensures ideal conditions for the aromatic development of the grapes. The vines sink their roots into sandy soils formed from sandstone rocks, an element that gives the wine its characteristic dry and measured profile. Villa Papiano is the result of a passionate environmental restoration project led by young winemakers, focused on total sustainability.
How is it produced
Vinification begins with a spontaneous fermentation triggered exclusively by indigenous yeasts, essential for preserving maximum varietal fidelity. The process continues with an eight-month ageing phase divided between cement vats and barrels, combining the neutrality of the former with the measured contribution of wood. Before release, the wine rests for at least six months in the bottle. This careful technical management, based on the principles of biodynamic agriculture, ensures the wine has remarkable ageing potential.
