Description

Fiano di Avellino "Clos d'Haut" is a great interpretation of Fiano born on the hill of Montefredane, the wine that represents, together with "Vigna della Congregazione", the excellence of the Villa Diamante winery. The name "Clos d'Haut" alludes to the high latitude on which the vineyard from which the wine is made is situated: a few hectares leased on the highest part of Montefredane, at an altitude of more than 500 metres.

The meeting between Diamante and Antoine, in the hot summer of 1976, was written in the great book of destiny. He was on holiday from Belgium and she was from America. Their love was sudden, overwhelming and united by a strong passion, wine, which led them to found the Villa Diamante farm in 1996.

From their first meeting, they never separated until the same life that gave us so much took away, like a bolt from the blue, an exemplary father, a loving husband and a pillar of our company and Irpinia's winemaking.

And this is where I come in. I decided to study oenology, to get my hands and boots dirty and to go into the vineyard to carry on my father's dream, with the invaluable help of my mother Diamante. Read more
