Description
Still red Friuli Isonzo DOC, 13.5% ABV, 100% Merlot, produced by Vie di Romans. 0.75 L bottle, 2021 vintage. A Merlot born from the Gallo family's commitment to the world of vines and wine, which began over a century ago. Medium-deep soil with abundant gravel, ranging from sandy loam to clayey loam, reddish in color due to the presence of iron and aluminum oxides. Aged for 18 months in barriques, then 8 months in stainless steel tanks until natural clarification is achieved. Fruity aromas open the nose, leading the memory to memories of dark plums and ripe berries, later enriched with hints of sweet spices and slightly vegetal nuances. The palate is soft and warm, full-bodied and velvety in the tannins. Excellent persistence.
