Description
What kind of wine it is
The Glesie Climat Chardonnay from Vie di Romans is a still white wine that faithfully interprets the character of Chardonnay. In the glass, it displays a straw yellow colour, introducing a bouquet with clear fruity aromas and floral notes. On the palate, it offers a soft texture, finishing with a harmonious fruity aftertaste.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, as a clear expression of the Friuli Isonzo territory. Its production in Mariano del Friuli defines its territorial identity. These geographical coordinates allow Chardonnay to reveal a clear profile, reflecting the distinctive environmental characteristics of the eastern part of the region.
How it is produced
Made from Chardonnay grapes, this still white wine benefits from about an hour of decanting before serving to best express its aromatic profile. Its soft texture makes it particularly suitable for pairing with fish and shellfish dishes. It also pairs well with starters, first courses, soft cheeses and various vegetarian preparations.
History and Curiosities
The 2018 vintage of Vie di Romans Glesie Climat Chardonnay embodies the excellence of the Friuli Isonzo DOC: a still, elegant white wine with an alcohol content of 14.5%. Produced in Mariano del Friuli, it is presented in its classic dark green bottle with a golden capsule and a finely decorated cream-coloured label. To fully appreciate its soft fruity and floral profile, it is recommended to decant for one hour, an essential ritual to enhance every nuance of this fine Italian wine.
