Description
Still red wine from Emilia-Romagna, 14% ABV, produced by Trerè. 100% Sangiovese, 0.75L bottle, 2023 vintage. A Sangiovese that expresses the authenticity of the Faenza region, a wine that speaks of a family's passion for viticulture. The Trerè winery was founded in the early 1960s. The founder, my father Valeriano Trerè, despite having always worked in agriculture by family tradition, had the opportunity and desire to start his own business with the acquisition of the first 14 hectares of Podere Saccona, on the first hills of Faenza. In temperature-controlled steel tanks. Aged for 6 months in barrique. Woody nose with spicy notes, initially sweet (roasted coffee and chocolate) then more pungent (cloves and cinnamon). Cherry and violet in the background. Full and uniform ruby color. Medium-bodied, for a wine where acidity drives its dynamics, it finishes spicy and slightly almondy.

The ceramic craftsmanship of Faenza matches well with the flourishing agriculture of the Romagna region, which finds a perfect balance between ancient experience and high technology in cultivating vines. The first wines to be produced were three DOC wines: Albana, Trebbiano and Sangiovese. Trerè is now a successful family-run business whose philosophy is to strive for quality and respect for the terroir with a good quality-price ratio. Read more
