Description

A sweet, aromatic, late-harvest white passito wine produced by Cantina Tramin in Trentino-Alto Adige, 9% ABV, 2022 vintage. A Terminum Gewürztraminer from the Sella vineyards above Termeno. After six hours of maceration, the grapes are gently pressed, then fermented and aged in French oak barrels. The nose reveals notes of pineapple and apricots in syrup, dates, honey, plum cake, and candied citrus. A dazzling golden color. The palate is creamy and honeyed, with an invigorating savory finish that restores the right balance. A harmonious and long-lasting finish.

In a time of hardship for Alto Adige’s wine producers, Christian Schrott, parish priest of Tramin and later Member of the Austrian Parliament, founded our cooperative in 1898 in order to protect the livelihood and future of the wine producers from this mountain area. Thanks to the strength of this union, Cantina Tramin has become one of Alto Adige’s most respected cooperatives and an example recognized all over the world.

Today, we are 160 families tending approximately 270 hectares of vineyards. We pride ourselves on the fact that each bottle is the quintessence of our philosophy of life and work: accuracy, commitment, trust and creativity.

Origin All the grapes used in the production of this wine come from the vineyards of Sella, a locality located above the village of Tramin at an altitude of between 400 m and 500 m above sea level at the foot of the mountain range surrounding the Roen.
