Description
What kind of wine is it
Tramin T Cuvée Rosso is a still red wine that encapsulates the essence of the South Tyrolean region. It is created from a harmonious blend of Schiava, Pinot Noir and Merlot, representing the Vigneti delle Dolomiti denomination. In the glass, it displays a ruby red colour with garnet hues, hinting at a fruity bouquet where cranberry, cherry and blackberry stand out, enriched by fresh balsamic notes of mint and eucalyptus. On the palate, it is a dry and lively cuvée, with a well-balanced body. The sip is juicy and elegant, with well-integrated acidity and soft tannins leading to a harmonious and persistent finish.
Where does it come from
The grapes originate from the municipalities of Termeno, Egna and Montagna, where the hillside vineyards are situated between two hundred and fifty and eight hundred and fifty metres above sea level. The vines grow on soils of varied composition, rich in limestone, clay, gravel and porphyry. The microclimate plays a fundamental role: daytime sun exposure is balanced by the refreshing winds from Lake Garda. These conditions allow for optimal ripening of the grapes, enhancing the aromatic purity of the Vigneti delle Dolomiti and giving the wine a clean and crisp character.
How is it produced
Vinification begins with destemming and gentle crushing of the grapes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Tramin chooses not to carry out malolactic fermentation, in order to preserve the natural freshness of the grape varieties and ensure a fine tannic structure. Ageing also takes place entirely in steel to maintain the integrity of the fruit's fragrance. The production process ends with a light filtration, resulting in a balanced dry red that is extremely pleasant and easy to drink.
