Description

Still red wine from Valpolicella Ripasso DOC, 13.5% ABV, produced by Tommasi, a historic Venetian winery founded in 1902. Blend: 70% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, 5% Corvinone. 0.75L bottle, 2022 vintage. A wine made from secondary fermentation on the Amarone pomace, a process that gives it greater body and complexity. Aged for 12 months in 35-hectare Slavonian oak barrels. Ruby red with a garnet rim. An elegant nose with notes of dried violets and jammy sour cherries blended with notes of cedarwood, tobacco, black pepper, juniper berries, sweet spices, and rich balsamic aromas. Agile on the palate, with a lively, fresh kick and delicate savory finish. A persistent finish with persistent spicy undertones. An ideal wine to accompany red meats, mature cheeses and rich traditional Venetian dishes.

The Tommasi story is that of a pioneer spirit ignited in 1902 that has blazed across four generations. Since the first small parcel of land in the Valpolicella Classica purchased by Giacomo Tommasi, our hard work and commitment to manage every aspect of the growth of the company directly defines us. This connection to the land, to the people and the markets, has honed our business insight, and strategic innovation, without ever losing touch with the respect and love harbored for the traditions and unique qualities that define this historic wine region.

An attentive ear to change, respect of place, and high-quality production are three driving factors that put Tommasi among Italy's leading producers. The strength of the family truly forges every Tommasi.
