Description
Still red wine from Valpolicella Ripasso DOC, 13.5% ABV, produced by Tommasi, a historic Venetian winery founded in 1902. Blend: 70% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, 5% Corvinone. 0.75L bottle, 2022 vintage. A wine made from secondary fermentation on the Amarone pomace, a process that gives it greater body and complexity. Aged for 12 months in 35-hectare Slavonian oak barrels. Ruby red with a garnet rim. An elegant nose with notes of dried violets and jammy sour cherries blended with notes of cedarwood, tobacco, black pepper, juniper berries, sweet spices, and rich balsamic aromas. Agile on the palate, with a lively, fresh kick and delicate savory finish. A persistent finish with persistent spicy undertones. An ideal wine to accompany red meats, mature cheeses and rich traditional Venetian dishes.
