Description
What kind of wine it is
Tascante Buonora by Tasca d’Almerita encapsulates all the elegance of Etna Bianco. Made from Carricante grapes, it stands out for its intense straw-yellow colour and a striking bouquet, where notes of nectarine, peach, vanilla and white flowers prevail. On the palate, it reveals a pronounced mineral savouriness and a clear acidic definition, fully reflecting its territorial origins. The tasting experience is harmonious and fresh, enriched by hints of aromatic herbs and citrus fruits that lead to a pleasant and persistent finish. Thanks to its vibrant nature, it is ideal paired with shellfish, delicate fish dishes and flavourful vegetable starters.
Where it comes from
The wine originates on the northern slope of Mount Etna, between the historic districts of Montedolce and Feudo Santa Anastasia. The vineyards stretch across terraces at six hundred metres above sea level, rooted in volcanic soils that impart a distinctive flavour profile to the wine. In this microclimate, sustainable agricultural management ensures the perfect ripening of the grapes. These environmental influences enhance the Carricante grape, enriching its aromatic profile with fascinating sulphurous notes and subtle hints of hydrocarbons, typical of the region, resulting in an authentic and vertical expression.
How it is produced
The production process begins in October with a rigorous manual harvest. In the winery, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for twelve days, preserving the primary aromatic qualities of the grape. This is followed by a targeted ageing on the lees in steel for four months, an essential period to give breadth and structure to the palate without compromising the acidic tension. The result is a wine of exceptional technical purity, characterised by an excellent ageing potential that allows it to evolve gracefully over the years.
