Description
What kind of wine it is
Tarlant Champagne Bam! Brut Nature is a Traditional Method sparkling wine created from a unique blend of Arbane, Petit Meslier and Pinot Blanc. Its aromatic profile reveals clear floral scents intertwined with lively citrus notes. On the palate, it is bold and distinctly mineral, supported by a fine perlage that adds rhythm to the tasting experience. Its dry character enhances the purity of the fruit, making it an ideal pairing with shellfish and lean fish. Served chilled, it is equally balanced when accompanying cheeses and starters.
Where it comes from
This Champagne is born in the terroirs of Tarlant, a winery rooted in the renowned French region since 1687. The fourteen hectares of estate are divided into sixty plots, ensuring meticulous care for each parcel of land. Among these stands out Les Sables, a plot with sandy soil that imparts a pronounced mineral signature to the wine. The parcel-based fragmentation allows the nuances of the vineyard to be translated into a defined and linear sip. The agronomic approach is reflected in very limited productions, aimed at a pas dosé style conceived to highlight the authentic identity of the territory.
How it is produced
Crafted according to the Traditional Method, the wine is born from a rigorous separate vinification of each individual plot. The must ferments alternately in steel, concrete or wood, with careful management to preserve the clarity of the fruit. The inhibition of malolactic fermentation ensures a vibrant gustatory tension. The structure of the blend is supported by reserve wines aged in barrels, which lend complexity and longevity to the final result. This meticulous oenological management culminates in a sharp sip, where the absence of sugars clearly enhances the verticality and balance of the composition.
History and Curiosities
Founded in 1687, the family-run Tarlant winery has been a pioneer of the Brut Nature style since the 1990s. Under the guidance of Benoît Tarlant, the estate cultivates fourteen hectares divided into sixty plots, among which the exclusive sandy soil of Les Sables stands out. Each plot is vinified separately in wood, steel or concrete to enhance the authentic character of the terroir. The absence of malolactic fermentation and the meticulous care given to the reserve wines in barrel bestow this rare Champagne with extraordinary mineral complexity.

Today, the Tarlant family owns 14 hectares of vineyards divided into 60 prestigious parcels, among which a free-standing plot (Les Sables) stands out, surviving the phylloxera epidemic thanks to the very sandy soil. Benoît Tarlant, representative of the XIV generation of the Tralant, cultivates these vineyards with great environmental sensitivity, attention to the micro-territoriality and the peculiarities of each individual parcel, demonstrating great qualities of vigneron and oenologist. In the cellar, separate vinification is preferred in barrique, but steel and cement vats are also used. We tend not to carry out the malolactic fermentation and the reserve wines are kept in cask.
Tarlant Champagne is rigorous, artisanal and complex, but it is not difficult or difficult. Tarlant was a forerunner in the 90s of zero doses and today all production, limited to just over 100,000 bottles a year, consists of pas dosé and extra brut. The style of these Champagne reveals a skilful and well-balanced use of wood and the exaltation of each micro-terroir: an elegant and balanced style that retains all the charm of the great Champagne.
