Perfume

The bouquet is rich, spacious and quite lingering.

Color

Color

To the eye, it takes on a quite beautiful color, never too intense, but very stable over time.

Taste

Taste

It recalls fresh fruit, small fruit in particular, inner-mouth spiciness, mountain hay and autumn leaves. Excellent structure; tannins and acids very nicely in step. It is a wine worthy of the fame it has always enjoyed.

An estate founded in 1912 by Giuseppe Sordo, now in its third generation with great style, witnessed by the underground cellar, visited annually by more than 5000 tourists from all over the world. Excavated to a depth of 12 metres, it houses a vat cellar, a tunnel for the ageing of large formats and evocative niches for tastings, for which there is also a room on the upper floor, with a breathtaking view over the Langhe.

In the second half of 2021, the winery also gained International recognition:

- Decanter Magazine, following a blind tasting of Barolo vintage 2013, decreed: Sordo 2013 Monvigliero and 2013 Riserva Perno with 90 points

- Jancis Robinson with the collaboration of Walter Speller selects and awards: Sordo 2017 Monvigliero Barolo 16+/20 pts and Sordo 2017 Monprivato Barolo 15,5/ 20 pts
