Born in 1935 in Vallet, Château du Cleray is where Sauvion wines are born. In 1935, Ernest Sauvion created this property which covers about 40 hectares of vineyards crossed daily by ocean winds. We are in the Aeolian Islands, the land of winds, where wines renowned for their elegance and finesse are produced. Special attention is paid to the properties of Haut Poitou north of Poiters in the department of Vienne, a Sauvignon terroir, limestone very similar to the better known Sancerre. A dry and fresh Sauvignon characterized by persistent aromatic notes.
